In Arabic it is an everyday word. The square, the open space, the spot where a city actually lives.

A square has no door. Nobody has to let you in, and nobody can forget to. You can stand at the edge all evening and just watch. That counts as having been there too.

A group chat has a door, and someone else has their hand on it. You get in the day somebody remembers to add you. New in town, you do not know anyone who would.

The word has a second meaning. Battlefield. The internet already took that one. I am building the other.

Open means anyone can walk in. Not that everyone stands in the same room. Sisters and brothers keep their own, always.
